Multi-shell DTI Connectiivty

Hi All,

I have a multi-shell DTI data and I have processed tractography using deterministic and probabilistic (fod, act) tractography and processed connectivity. I got very different results. I had stronger connections within each hemisphere in probabilistic tractography and more connection between hemispheres in deterministic tractography. The connectivity figures as follows:

Could you please tell me which algorithm is more suitable for my data?

Hi @cmid,

This is a very high-level question, and would require the length of a full-blown manuscript to address properly. But by default MRtrix3’s tckgen will use a probabilistic streamlines algorithm based on FOD data, as this is the approach that we advocate.
