What is the most accurate way to quantify short-range white matter fibres (so-called “u-fibres”) in each lobe across the entire brain?

There isn’t really a whole lot currently in MRtrix3 that can be used in this context. Probably the only vaguely relevant capability would be generation of TWIs with the contrast being generated based on streamlines curvature.
This is however something that I’ve been wanting to pursue for some time now, after having seen this demonstration of variance of U-fiber density in epilepsy. So I may get in touch if I get around to implementing the requisite tools and you feel as though you have a strong hypothesis to which to apply such.
