Organize DWI volumes for CSD?

Dear Mrtrix team,

I would like to ask a very basic question.

Do I need to have all the b0 volumes at the beginning of the data for the response function and FOD estimation steps? I know some other software for spherical deconvolution require this.

No, no need for that – the only requirement is to have the matching DW encoding (whether in bvecs/bvals format or embedded in the image header). In fact, we would typically recommend to spread the b=0 volumes throughout the acquisition to avoid biases due to motion, etc.
