Problem in MRtrix3 installation

Dear MRtrix community,
I am a new user and I am finding difficulties in installing MRtrix 3 on my laptop (Windows 10).
I follow the steps provided and when I run $ ./configure I get the following error

ERROR: error running Qt application!

See the file ‘configure.log’ for details. If this doesn’t help and you need
further assistance, please post on the MRtrix3 community forum
(http://community.mrtrix.org/), and make sure to include the full contents of
the ‘configure.log’ file.

Could you help me?
Thank you in advance’
Monica

Hi Monica,

Can you confirm that you’re running on MSYS2, not WSL?

Otherwise, please post the entirety of the command and its output, exactly as you typed it in and as it shows on the terminal. Simplest is to copy/paste the full snipped directly from the terminal into your post, and enclose it within the correct tags (use the </> button for this). Please also post the full contents of the configure.log file, this should give us enough detail about the error to figure out what’s going on.

Cheers,
Donald.

For new users, especially those with a new pc/mac/linux desktop or laptop, one could use the follwing to install (a lot of) neuroimaging software, also mrtrix3
It works on macOS, Linux and Windows (Win11 or windows 10 (Build 19041 and higher)).
See GitHub - treanus/KUL_Linux_Installation: Automated installation of neuro-imaging software on a Linux Mint 20 or Ubuntu 20.04 system
