Tckgen -cutoff default

Hi

In the new MrTrix version I see that the default -cutoff values for tckgen have changed. It also states that the default threshold values will be multiplied by 0.5 if using ACT.

I want to know if I manually set a -cutoff value, and use ACT, will it half my cutoff value automatically as well?

Thanks
Justin

Hi Justin,

From the changelog:

Default tracking cutoff threshold is halved for all algorithms if ACT is employed.

It’s only the defaults, i.e. what gets used if no manual threshold is requested at the command line. If you use the -cutoff option in conjunction with -act, the utilised cutoff value will be what was requested, and not half of such.

Cheers
Rob
