Consensus connectome modularity

Hi all,
I have a question concerning modules’ partitioning according to Louvain algorithm. I obtain certain modules assignment for individual subjects, and for the resulting consensus connectome (obtained by thresholding individual networks at 0.5% of the maximum strength, retaining only those connections that exist in at least 75% of subjects in the group, and averaging the connection
strengths across subjects). Is it possible that, in the consensus partition, more modules are there compared than those in single subjects’ partitions from which the consensus connectome itself has been created?
Thanks in advance
Rosella
