I have developed a sequence of DW-SSFP with a spiral-in trajectory. The FA output from the dwi2tensor and tensor2metric is greater than 1 (eg. FA=1.2) in regions of high FA. FA of the same region is under 1.0 when it was calculated using DSIStudio. I tried the OLS option as ‘dwi2tensor -ols -iter 0 …’, but the FA was still greater than 1. Can this be due to the multiple echo pathways of DW-SSFP (in DW-SSFP, the diffusion weighting b depends on other conditions such as T1, T2, and flip angle)?
