Hi everyone,
I am learning to use MRtrix3 but when I tried to use dwidenoise, my result is different from BATMAN tutorial (2020). I tried to do this work on Linux and Windows, but I get the same result.
I also tried to test with guidelines and datasets on https://mrtrix.readthedocs.io/ , but I still found that the residual.mif file I got is totally different from the file showed in YouTube.
I have been stuck on this problem for about a week, so I would be very grateful if anyone can answer my question.
I think you are showing the sigma map (which does not look that different from the one in the tutorial) instead of the residual.
The picture I showed is noise.mif. although it does not look that different from the left picture in figure 1,but I think if I use the same raw file to denoise, the results will be same.
this is the residual (the left one is from the guide and the right one is mine)
Well, it seems like that the tutorial used the original estimator used in Veraart et al.(2016) (Exp1) but now the default is the improved estimator(Exp2). I changed this option and get a very similar result, so I think that’s because some options have been changed during the years.
