I recently updated MRtrix on my windows to 3.0.1 with no problem. We also updated MRtrix on our vm with a Linux environment; however, the version number seems a bit off (as attached), and I just wanted to check if this is correct or not? Thanks.
Yes, that’s basically saying you’re 24 commits ahead of version 3.0.1. So it’s the release version plus a few bug fixes that have been committed since. They’ll be part of the 3.0.2 release in due course.
If you need to make sure you have exactly the same version as the actual release, then checkout the relevant tag and ./build again:
git checkout 3.0.1
./build
