We are hiring a Post-doctoral researcher in developmental and cognitive neuroscience, to collect and analyse cognitive and neuroimaging data from the UKRI MRC-funded PREterm Neurodevelopment and COGnition study (PRENCOG). This is a full-time position (26 months), with a competitive salary (£41,064 to £48,822 per annum) based in the University of Edinburgh.
Main responsibilities:
• Collection and analysis of brain structural and diffusion MRI (sMRI, dMRI) from neonates, and sMRI, dMRI and functional MRI from children.
• Administer behavioural tasks to assess social cognition, memory and attention in 5-year-old children.
• Perform integrated analyses of imaging, behavioural and biological data.
• Write up results for publication.
Qualifications:
• PhD in neuroimaging, psychology, neuroscience or computer science.
• Proficiency in Python, R, Matlab, or another relevant programming language.
• Expertise in integrated analysis of behavioural and imaging data.
• Experience working with children in research settings.
• Experience acquiring and analysing fMRI.
