I’ve done a fixel-based analysis on my subjects, however, I wonder whether it is theoretically also justifiable to repeat running fixelcfestats on the mapped and smoothed NODDI metrics on the fixels.
What I intend to do is to 1) register NODDI outputs to the wmfod_template using the warps generated for FBA pipeline, 2) map them to the fixels with voxel2fixel, 3) smooth them, 4) run fixelcfestats.
I worry that smoothing based on the matrix files generated on FBA may not be a good idea though, since they may map well on ODI, but maybe not on ICVF and ISO. Looking forward to your comments!
