Is the output of tck2connectome following SIFT2 (i.e. the sum of streamline weights connecting roi x roi pairs) useful itself as a metric of connectivity? Could/should one analyze group differences in connectivity between two regions based only on this metic?
As kind of implied in the other thread, personally I see this as not just “useful” as a metric of connectivity, but theoretically the best metric of endpoint-to-endpoint connectivity, within the confines of the diffusion-weighted signal. I’ll try to finish the manuscript explaining this within this lifetime.
