When MTCSD is used, How to describe the seed point?

Dear Mrtrix Experts,

I analyzed my own data by using Multi-tissue constrained spherical deconvolution following to the HCP tutorial: http://mrtrix.readthedocs.io/en/latest/tutorials/hcp_connectome.html.

I’m beginning to write a paper as it is likely to get the results I expected.
However, I have no idea how to describe the seed points in tractogram reconstruction part.
I’m trying to write it as below …

”For each scan, tractograms of 5000000 streamlines were generated through seeding from “…”, tracking with ACT. Seed points were determined dynamically using the SIFT (Spherical-deconvolution Informed Filtering of Tractograms) model."

Could you give me advice?

Regards,

Koji

Hi Koji,

The dynamic seeding algorithm is described in full in the appendix of the SIFT2 paper. So simply describing the seeds as having been generated throughout the white matter using that algorithm, and giving that reference, should be sufficient.

Rob

Hi Rob,

I appreciate for your reply!
That has become a great help.

Thanks,
